ICO?

Definition

An ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is a fundraising method using blockchain technology to finance the development of web3 projects.

Subscribers acquire digital tokens in exchange for fiat currencies (euros, dollars, etc.) or cryptocurrencies. These tokens often represent a future right of use for the service offered by the issuer, but do not constitute shares in the company like traditional stocks. ICOs differ from Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in their less regulated nature and decentralized process.
